(PPG) Patient Participation Group

Is made up of a group of volunteer patients. We meet regularly to discuss services and improvements.

Appointments

We have phased in more Face to Face appointments with all clinicians/practitioners and will continue to offer telephone consultations

  • It is not always necessary for you to see the GP for your problem. It may be more appropriate for you to be seen by one of our other practitioners.
  • This may be one of the following: Nurse Consultant, Practice Nurse, HCA, Pharmacist, physio or Social Prescriber. We will continue to review our appointments until we get the balance right.
  • You can also contact us via the eConsult option
  • How to order a prescription
  • How to request a sick note

Abuse is not is a day's work

NHS staff shouldn’t have to suffer violence or abuse just for doing their job, so we operate a zero tolerance policy on this type of behaviour.

  • Swearing, threats or any act of violence will not be tolerated under ANY circumstances.
  • Patients who are abusive may be asked to leave the premises and could be removed from our patient list.
  • We are here to help & aim to be as polite and helpful as possible, even during difficult times.

Personalised Care - What is Social Prescribing?

(Roisin Reilly – Social Prescriber)

Many things affect your health and wellbeing. GPs tell us that a lot of people visit them feeling isolated or lonely. Or they might be stressed out by work, money and housing problems. Sometimes it’s the stress of managing different long-term conditions.

That’s where social prescribing comes in. It starts with a conversation. It might be the conversation you’ve just had with your doctor, or with another person in the practice team. They will refer you to a social prescribing link worker. The link worker is there to listen to you, and put you in touch with the people and activities that might help you to feel better.
